MDK Thailand shuts down

Following a comprehensive review of its regional operations, MDK Consultants has closed down its Thailand office. <BR><BR> The decision follows the departure of Thailand CEO Danai Chanchaochai. Hill & Knowlton regional president and COO Vivian Lines - who now oversees MDK - said that the agency's Singapore and Malaysia operations would continue, "subject to the continued support of all the shareholders". <BR><BR> Lines added: "The Thailand operation is not viable and will be closed down in July. The recovery plans put in place in Singapore and Malaysia, including the appointments of Sally Chew and Scoti Albrecht to lead those operations, are working very well and business in both markets is being rebuilt quite quickly."
