MDIS appoints Bang PR

SINGAPORE - The Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) has appointed TNBT's Bang as its PR agency to provide media communications support and services.

MDIS is Singapore's oldest not-for-profit professional institute for lifelong learning and largest private education organisation with more than 12,500 students.

Bang previously supported the launch of MDIS' overseas campus in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in October 2008 as well as the unveiling of The Ten Sages of the World statue at MDIS UniCampus in Stirling Road, Singapore in December 2008.

Tan Gek Khim, senior director of MDIS, said: "Bang PR has been supporting MDIS' communications needs since the middle of last year on a project basis. The decision to shift the partnership to a retainer basis came after the consideration that the agency will have a stronger overview of our key milestones. We believe this will add value to strengthen MDIS' communications with our key stakeholders."

Senior consultant Benedict Jacob-Thambiah, who was formerly executive director of Action for AIDS and consultant for HIV Education at the Workplace for the Health Promotion Board, will head the account at Bang.
