The TVC spot follows the recent McSpicy Chicken Burger ad and shows a wife seeing her husband off for a cab ride to the airport. He keeps making sure she knows how to use the IT equipment properly and tells her that he has written an instruction note for her. Once he is in the taxi, he finds a McDonalds take-away bag with a heart-warming note from her to remind him to eat when he is hungry.
This TVC developed by DDB Hong Kong featuring the GCB and the Smoky GCB will air for one month. Seeking to differentiate the different personalities of the burgers, the TVC depicts a burger that is “so tender it will warm your heart”.
The TVCs launched on March 30 with support via press advertising, digital, advertorials and in-store POP materials.
