McCracken will assume creative leadership across all disciplines - a newly-created role - and starts in January. “We still have some way to go to pull our departments together. Hiring Todd is a step in the right direction,” said Stephen Mangham, chairman, Ogilvy Singapore. “We want to mash up our creative offering across all disciplines, and not be hide-bound by the way we used to work.”
McCracken will strengthen a creative department that has seen Ogilvy Advertising ECD Sonal Dabral and Peter Moss, OgilvyOne ECD, leave the agency. Moss joined Ogilvy New York in September, while Dabral is now regional CD at BatesAsia.
Ogilvy & Mather Asia-Pacific regional ECD and co-chairman Tham Khai Meng said: “Todd is a world-class player whose experience in the region will bring fresh insights into the organisation.”
McCracken left the regional ECD position at Grey earlier this year (Media, 24 April).
Meanwhile, Ogilvy long-timer Tina Coscolluela is stepping down from her position as group MD of the Philippines operation. Ogilvy Advertising MD Randy Aquino will take her place.
Coscolluela, who has served Ogilvy over 14 years, will move to a non-executive chairman role, effective January next year. Randy Aquino, the 4As president who joined Ogilvy from BBDO Guerrero Ortega in March, will take on her role. The agency has yet to confirm a replacement head of Ogilvy Advertising.
