McCann WorldGroup unveils digital centre

BANGKOK - McCann WorldGroup has launched a regional digital marketing centre based in Thailand.

The 38-staff strong unit, housed within MRM Worldwide, will take on local and pan-regional digital briefs. Clients so far involved include Nestle, Motorola, Intel and Pernod Ricard.

The unit will be headed up by Jinn Powprapai, hired earlier this summer (Media, 3 May), who returns home after a fifteen-year stint in Silicon Valley in digital and web-based direct marketing.

MRM Thailand has increasingly been working on international accounts because of client demand, said McCann WorldGroup Thailand president and CEO Mark Ingrouille. 

“There are no geographical barriers to digital work being sourced from anywhere, so it gets down to the talent of the people and leadership for clients into the new digital domains. This is where Jinn Powprapai will be most effective,” he said.
