McCann Worldgroup appoints new chief

McCann Worldgroup has named Chris Mort as chairman and CEO in Australia. Mort, former CEO of Singleton Ogilvy & Mather, will head McCann Erickson, Universal McCann, MRM Partners and McCann Healthcare. The network has also appointed Mike Thomas as executive creative director, Helen Karabassis as director of business strategy and Ron Taylor as director of business operations.
