McCann wins Youth Olympics sponsorship planning brief

SINGAPORE - McCann Worldgroup has won a Government planning brief for sponsorship activation and promotions for the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC).

The contract, with the Ministry of Community, Youth and Sports, is for six months with an option to extend its services for another two months

McCann will develop a cost-effective on-ground promotions activities plan (regional and international) for the Games by September 2009. Other key responsibilities include planning online promotional activities to create awareness of the Games and to drive traffic to its websites.

McCann Worldgroup was appointed in April by SYOGOC to develop the marketing campaign for the inaugural Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games (Singapore 2010) while Momentum, its activation arm, was picked to manage the Singapore 2010 City Celebration site.
