McCann Malaysia boosts top line-up

KUALA LUMPUR - McCann Erickson has strengthened its senior management line-up with the promotions of Huang Ean Hwa and Lee Szu-Hung from ECDs to joint deputy chairmen.

The agency has also promoted planner Pratik Thaker to deputy MD and chief strategy officer, thanks to his role in winning clients such as DiGi, Al-Rajhi Bank, Proton and Suria KLCC.

Hwa's new position will involve pushing clients into new areas of innovation and creativity. He will also oversee creative output for McCann's brand activation division, Momentum. Lee's brief is to improve creative work internally and will be responsible for talent development and resourcing.

‘All three have grown professionally and don't just do functional jobs anymore. They are in the forefront with clients, managing and anticipating their needs with strategic recommendations," said McCann Erickson Malaysia MD Tony Savarimuthu.

"We want to provide a higher quality of client service in a market driven by active, opinionated consumers and participatory media. This requires strong client and brand leadership."
