SINGAPORE - McCann WorldGroup Asia Pacific chief Kevin Ramsey (pictured) has kicked off a major revamp of his regional management team, replacing Sorab Mistry with Mark Ingrouille as Southeast Asia area director.
In addition, Prasoon Joshi replaces McCann WorldGroup ECD Jeremy Perrott, who recently took on the role of global ECD of McCann Healthcare. However the regional WorldGroup ECD role has been shelved, and Joshi's remit will focus more on McCann Erickson rather than on WorldGroup's other disciplines. Joshi also takes on new responsibility as area director for India, which has been recognised as a region in its own right, rather than pooled in with Southeast Asia.
Ingrouille, meanwhile, keeps his position as president of McCann Thailand, but will now run Southeast Asia, based in Singapore. Mistry moves to a new role, Asia Pacific growth officer, with a brief to grow McCann's footprint and service offering.
Before that, however, Mistry will oversee an overhaul of McCann's Indonesian office which is encountering legal difficulties given a recent clampdown on multinational agencies (Media 9 August). Head of McCann Indonesia Jan Gerits is leaving the agency to return home to the Netherlands. Other changes see Harry Corsham, who runs the Microsoft business, promoted to Asia Pacific director of multinational clients while Mark Cripps, MRM's Greater China strategic planning director, becomes regional digital director.
