McCann clings to brief as Motorola cancels review

<p>SYDNEY: Motorola has abruptly called off the review of its </p><p>US$150 million global media account because of nervousness over </p><p>the state of the world economy. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>This is good news for Universal McCann (UM), the incumbent global agency </p><p>of record, excluding Latin America, which is served by MindShare. UM </p><p>Asia's executive vice-president and regional director Allan Medforth </p><p>said Motorola would remain a client for "an indefinite period". The </p><p>account had been under review since January between UM and </p><p>MindShare. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Motorola consolidated its creative account with Ogilvy & Mather in </p><p>October last year and dropped McCann and Leo Burnett from its roster. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
