SYDNEY: Motorola has abruptly called off the review of its

US$150 million global media account because of nervousness over

the state of the world economy.

This is good news for Universal McCann (UM), the incumbent global agency

of record, excluding Latin America, which is served by MindShare. UM

Asia's executive vice-president and regional director Allan Medforth

said Motorola would remain a client for "an indefinite period". The

account had been under review since January between UM and

MindShare.

Motorola consolidated its creative account with Ogilvy & Mather in

October last year and dropped McCann and Leo Burnett from its roster.
