Andrew Ho and Vincent Pang are the first two significant appointments by McCann China's executive creative director and executive vice-president, Spencer Wong, since he joined McCann in March this year.
Andrew Ho takes over as executive creative director of McCann Erickson Guangming Beijing. He joins from FCB Hong Kong where he was awarded at the Clios, D&AD, New York Festival, and The Asia Pacific Times. At McCann Beijing, he will work on Microsoft, Nestle, and MasterCard.
Vincent Pang becomes group creative director at McCann Erickson Guangming Shanghai to spearhead creative output on L'Oreal, Maybelline, and Yue Sai, among others.
He was formerly regional creative director of Young & Rubicam Hong Kong where he scooped major awards at Cannes, Long Xi, D&AD and AdFest.
Wong said: "China is moving from an adaptation market to an origination market and the past two years have been crucial.
"Local pride is growing and we need to focus more on the personality and passions of the local people. I need creative people who can work together to find a new Chinese way of promoting products."
