McAfee hands global business to Tribal DDB

GLOBAL – Technology security firm McAfee has awarded its global account to Tribal DDB Worldwide following a review.

Tribal DDB, working with DDB Worldwide and OMD, is charged with developing integrated marketing campaigns that will include print, out-of-home, interactive and viral elements.

The agency is also accountable for augmenting the brand’s creative development and media buying and planning strategies.

While McAfee has a presence in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan, the account’s operations will be run out of San Francisco.
According to Amanda King, president and managing partner of Tribal DDB Asia-Pacific, the agency further aims to strengthen brand recognition throughout the region.

“Having supported and provided insight for a large piece of global business such as McAfee, this win is a real coup and shows the strength of our operation in Asia-Pacific,” King said in a release. “We will definitely be involved in rolling out the campaigns in key countries where McAfee has presence.”
