Caple, who set up Portland when it launched in Malaysia in 2003, has worked with clients including Marlboro, HP, Wrigley, Cadbury, DiGi, Celcom and Petronas.
Prior to Portland, Capel has spent a 17-year career at agencies including Batey, Naga DDB, OMD and Starcom. She will report to MEC's MD Manjiri Kamat.
