MC2 lands Samart Group in Thailand

BANGKOK - MC2, MEC's second-string agency, has won the US$6.7 million Samart Group media account from incumbent Starcom, after a pitch against PHD and Universal McCann.

The GroupM agency is expected to work closely with local marketing agency Bangkok Showcase. Patoomrat Chatnarong-chai (pictured), business director of MC2, said: “This is our biggest win since the launch of MC2.”

Samart is the manufacturer of Thailand’s second-largest mobile service - i-mobile, which reports annual sales of over $100 million.
