M&C Saatchi names Lewis deputy CD

SINGAPORE - M&C Saatchi has hired Bevan Lewis as its deputy creative director, replacing a gap left by Simon Jenkins' departure in June.

Lewis (pictured) will report to ECD Richard Johnson across accounts such as Qantas, DBS Vickers, Aviva and Singapore Institute of Management.

Australian-born Lewis was most recently freelancing in Southeast Asia at agencies such as Euro RSCG Malaysia RMG David Singapore and Leo Burnett Jakarta. Prior to Asia, he co-founded Chemistry in Cape Town, and served as creative director at Thompson Kenya and JWT Cape Town.

"Bevan assumes the role of Deputy Creative Director. A role which carries a lot of responsibility, authority and a shiny metal star," said Johnson. "He'll be my right hand man and will act in my place when I'm out of the country."

Meanwhile, M&C has also hired Greg Rawson and Spyke Allapitchay as a writer and art director, respectively. Rawson joins from Australia while Allapitchay was most recently at Leo Burnett.
