M&C Saatchi Hong Kong revamps creative department

HONG KONG - M&C Saatchi Hong Kong has embarked on a major restructure of its creative department in a bid to improve on the agency's SAR offer.

In a shift from the agency’s previous project basis, newly appointed co-executive CDs Simon Handford and Sandy Chan have appointed nine further staff.

Francis Chung, formerly Leo Burnett Hong Kong creative director has come on board as CD. He’s worked on One2Free and Calbee among others, and has landed metal at New York Festivals, the HK4As and LongXi among others.

DDB interactive art director Percy Kwan has joined as interactive creative head, while Ogilvy senior copywriter Wen Hsiu Louie has been hired as associate creative director.

“The nature of some of the business M&C had been involved in the past was more project based as opposed to longer term clients. The departure of previous ECD Iris Lo had created a vacuum, so there was an opportunity for Sandy and I to start from scratch with a clean sheet,” said Handford.
