Verghese previously led Madison Media and Madison Infinity, and spent about seven years with the agency.
Verghese, who takes up his new post next month, will report to Vikram Sakhuja, COO, GroupM South Asia.
He started his career with IMRB before moving to Lintas, where he was part of the planning team on Hindustan Lever. Verghese joined Madison in 1999 to work on Coca-Cola and became its business head of Coke, later taking on the COO mantle.
