Maxus in double account win

SYDNEY & DHAKA - GroupM agency Maxus has added two new businesses in Asia, with Maxus Melbourne netting jewellery brand Secrets and Maxus Bangladesh winning dairy brand Arla Foods.

Maxus Melbourne won the Secrets account, worth approximately US$1.2 million, without a pitch. Secrets’ media was previously handled by Quattro Media.

Secrets has 21 stores in Australia, including all the major capital cities, and three in New Zealand.

Meanwhile, Maxus Bangladesh has been appointed to handle the media planning and buying for Arla Foods’ flagship brand Dano after a three-way pitch that included Ogilvy & Mather and local shop Mediacom. The account, worth an estimated $1 million, was previously handled by Saatchi & Saatchi, or Pratishabd as its called in Bagladesh.

Creative for the account will be handled by Asiatic JWT.

Arla Foods is a Danish company that operates mainly in dairy products. ano is one of the leading brands in the milk powder category in Bangladesh.

The appointment will be effective from October this year.
