Matari clinches IndoSat corporate brief

JAKARTA - IndoSat has hired Matari to create a corporate campaign to celebrate its 40th birthday.

The local agency saw off competition from Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB Avis and Avicom to clinch the assignment, which includes media planning and buying as well as creative.

The campaign runs until the end of the year, although Matari has the chance to become agency-of-record on the Rp 17 million (US$19.1 million) business if its impresses the client. DDB Avis currently handles IndoSat's product advertising.

The first round of pitching involved Saatchi & Saatchi, but the agency withdrew because it was unable to meet the deadline.

IndoSat ranks as Indonesia’s second-largest telco, with 17 million subscribers.
