MAS confirms upcoming tender
Malaysia Airlines has confirmed that it will put its entire advertising business up for tender within the next two months, after temporarily shifting the creative component from eight-year incumbent Leo Burnett to Publicis.

Senior GM of corporate communications Indira Nair added that the media and creative components would likely be run separately, with media overseen by new media consultant May Loong. Starcom is currently MAS' media AOR. Nair confirmed that plunging thematic spend at the airline had contributed to a "joint decision" by MAS and Burnett to move the business to Publicis, given high staff attrition at Burnett's MAS team.

She also pointed out that the Enrich loyalty account, currently handled by Rapp Collins, would not be included in the review.
