SHANGHAI: Marketing communications start-up, Market Catalyst, has
brought forward its planned expansion in China with plans to open an
office in Shanghai by the end of the second quarter.
Market Catalyst chief executive, Conrad Chiu, said the earlier entry is
due to strong revenue growth of HKdollars 80 million (USdollars 10.2
million) achieved since its launch six months ago. Chiu said the
Shanghai office will have a head count of 25 and will be targeting
Chinese and multinationals for business.
The agency has been providing mainly interactive services in China
through its group network for foreign multinational clients such as
Johnson & Johnson, Philips and Vidal Sassoon.
"The results in the past six months not only highlights Market Catalyst
as a marketing solutions company but also demonstrates our ability to
deliver strategy-based marketing integration to clients," said Chiu.
