Outgoing staff members include activation director Joe Wong, who joins JWT China (Media,2 May) in July; finance director Ho Quang Minh; group account director Pham Nhu Uyen and senior creatives Marge Melendez and Nguyen Thuy Khanh.
“In a fast-paced market like Vietnam, there’s bound to be high staff turnover,” said JWT international president Michael Maedel, adding that reports of a staff exodus are “greatly exaggerated”.
“It’s a problem facing all agencies,” continued Maedel. “The talent pool is small and I have sympathy for those who are offered 200 per cent more to take jobs outside the industry”.”
Ompong Remigio, ex-ECD of Neuron Philippines, has joined to replace former ECD David Smail and will team up with CD Birger Linke, who joined from Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore last November. Finance director Chi Quach also starts this month.
