LYCOS REGROUPS: Asian business with Leo Burnett
<p>SINGAPORE: Leo Burnett is believed to have scooped up the regional Lycos </p><p>account, covering eight markets. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>It is understood that the portal will be launching a rebranding campaign </p><p>shortly. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>It is understood that the completion of Lycos' Asian rollout had </p><p>prompted it to consolidate the business with one network. Bernard Chan, </p><p>Lycos vice-president for marketing, said: "Our awareness varies by </p><p>market according to the launch. For example, Singapore was our first </p><p>market so our awareness here is by far the highest." </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The brand has launched a Sdollars 4 million (USdollars 2.2 million) </p><p>drive to promote its enhanced search engine and directory across Asia </p><p>through a 12-weeklong search challenge. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
