The hotel reviews are written in the trademark, lighthearted Luxe style, along with a selection of pictures of the hotels.
The website is aimed at travellers who do not have time for detailed research on their destination and is positioned as a one-stop portal for cities, hotels and dining.
The site also recommends activities, exclusive deals and a free guidebook for every booking. Users can register and share their own opinions.
Commenting on the challenges in developing the site, founder and publisher of Luxe City Guides Grant Thatcher said the company tried to “ensure that design was not compromised whilst prioritising functionality. We wanted the site to be beautifully designed, yet simple and functional. We don't like to over-complicate things at Luxe; less is always more.”
A LUXEtasy blog is due to launch this Autumn.
