In announcing the enhanced structure, Tony Prehn, CEO of Lowe Thailand, said: “The appointment of two general managers, new positions within Lowe Thailand, would firmly put local client management and servicing at the centre of the company’s business.”
Prehn said that Santhana’s promotion was a recognition of his contribution to Lowe Thailand, where he has managed large local clients, such as Thai Airways and AIS Telecom. In his new capacity Santhana will also take on management responsibility for Lowe’s PR unit.
Chaowapark has over 14 years’ experience in advertising agencies and has worked with a number of blue-chip global agencies in a variety of communication disciplines. He will take up the leadership of one of the business units as well as take on management responsibility for the agency’s activation unit.
“These new appointments are in response to continued growth across our various business units and will greatly enhance client management and servicing,” added Prehn.
In June, Charuvarn Vanasin chairman of Lowe Thailand, retired from the agency . Her relationship with Lowe will continue in her new role of chairman emeritus. A Lowe spokesperson said that Vanasin’s role would not be filled.
Lowe Thailand is a hub office for Lowe Southeast Asia.
