To mark its 50th anniversary in Malaysia, Lowe & Partners put its creative prowess behind a year-long campaign to drive awareness of the potential of autistic children in support of Kidzcare’s programmes for children in need.
Lowe & Partners' managing director Khairudin Rahim said, “When we started making plans for our 50th anniversary, our team was adamant that we should do something for Malaysia, given that we are one of the few international networks with a long and trusted relationship with Malaysian people and global brands.”
The agency created a seven-minute documentary and three TV commercials on Kidzcare’s autistic children’s choir to build awareness of how autistic children, when given the right care, training and opportunity, can shine.
The 'Autism – The choir' documentary highlights how autism affects a family and also traces the story behind the choir. It finishes with excerpts from the choir's performance on 28 June at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, Kuala Lumpur.
The three commercials – 'World’s first autistic children’s choir', 'Amazing Umar' and 'Gifted Clarence' were launched on Malaysia’s free-to-air TV3 channel Youtube on 1 October.
Commenting on the partnership with Lowe, Kidzcare founder Mike Plascow said, “We are very grateful to Lowe for helping us capture and share this very important message – let your autistic children get the care and training he or she needs to shine.”
