SINGAPORE: Lowe Lintas & Partners has moved its regional

headquarters from Hong Kong to Singapore.

Frans Bergman, Lowe's regional finance director, has moved south, while

Ronald Yue, regional chief executive officer, who was unwilling to

relocate, will take on the role of consultant to help the agency expand

into China.

Asit Mehra, previously Lowe's global category director for Unilever in

London, has been appointed Asia-Pacific vice-president.

"We had four people in Singapore with regional roles so it made sense to

relocate Frans than to move everyone else to Hong Kong," said Caroline

Slocombe, Asia-Pacific regional business director.

Cost reduction was the other reason for having a single regional

office.

Regional personnel in Singapore are also abandoning their separate

premises in Trans Street and moving into the Lowe agency building on

Beach Road, which recently retrenched four staff.
