Lowe Lintas shuts regional hub to regroup in S'pore

<p>SINGAPORE: Lowe Lintas & Partners has moved its regional </p><p>headquarters from Hong Kong to Singapore. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Frans Bergman, Lowe's regional finance director, has moved south, while </p><p>Ronald Yue, regional chief executive officer, who was unwilling to </p><p>relocate, will take on the role of consultant to help the agency expand </p><p>into China. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Asit Mehra, previously Lowe's global category director for Unilever in </p><p>London, has been appointed Asia-Pacific vice-president. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>"We had four people in Singapore with regional roles so it made sense to </p><p>relocate Frans than to move everyone else to Hong Kong," said Caroline </p><p>Slocombe, Asia-Pacific regional business director. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Cost reduction was the other reason for having a single regional </p><p>office. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Regional personnel in Singapore are also abandoning their separate </p><p>premises in Trans Street and moving into the Lowe agency building on </p><p>Beach Road, which recently retrenched four staff. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
