Lowe launches DM specialist in Vietnam

HO CHI MINH CITY - Lowe has rolled out direct marketing agency Rivet in Vietnam, with a focus on local "action oriented" clients.

The unit will operate as a stand-alone unit, but will use Lowe Vietnam as back-end support. Lowe Vietnam MD Sabyasachi Mishra said he expects the agency to grow by up to 15 per cent in its first year.

Mishra (pictured) said: "Rivet will be an agency designed for enterprising brands; one that will seek to fuse branding and action by engaging with emerging, entrepreneurial markerters."

The unit will initially be staffed by ten people, and will be run by senior account director Phan Giao, who has 12 years experience in Vietnamese advertising.

Mishra added: "Rivet's clients will get a combination of small agency attention and big agency intellect and infrastructure. The agency will have its own separate team, but will have on-demand access to Lowe Vietnam’s existing account management and creative leadership for guidance."

Rivet has already rolled out in Australia, New Zealand and launches in Thailand and Indonesia are imminent. The agency is set to launch in most Asia Pacific markets in 2008.
