Mishra calls time on a three-year stint running Lowe Vietnam and has relocated to Bangkok, Lowe's regional headquarters.
He said: "Asia has got the demographics, but ice cream penetration is still very low. Dairy is not part of the diet here. But as affluence rises, consumption patterns are starting to change. It's a very exciting time for Wall's and I am relishing the opportunity."
Mishra will take charge of brands including Magnum, Cornetto, Moo and Paddle Pop three months after the Interpublic agency was awarded the entire Wall's advertising account in Asia-Pacific (Media 29 May).
The Indian has a proven track record working on Unilever brands. Before moving to Vietnam in 2005, he managed Unilever's household care business at Lowe India. While at Lowe Vietnam, Mishra picked up an Asian Marketing Effectiveness award for his agency's campaign for Unilever's OMO brand in 2007.
Lowe Vietnam's client service director Vikas Mehta will succeed Mishra as the agency's MD.
