LongXi shines light on young creatives

HONG KONG - Global Chinese-language award show LongXi has announced it will launch a show for young creatives to sit alongside its portfolio of awards events.

The LongXi Nova award show is open to creative teams under 30 years of age who develop creative in Chinese. Creatives must enter as a team — which must include an art director and copywriter — endorsed by their executive creative director.

Teams will go through two rounds of competition in which they must submit a portfolio of their work in the first stage, and then undertake a creative challenge in the second. “It is critical to ensure sufficient creative leaders to cope with this ever-growing market,” said LongXi founding member Jimmy Lam. “The quantity of young creatives in the industry is never the problem — quality is what we need.”

Judging for the awards will take place in Hong Kong in July.
