Hangzhou offers several international brand hotels on the banks of the West Lake

SUGGESTED ITINERARY
A one-day tour will take in Lingyin Temple in the west of the city, one of the biggest and
best-known temples in China, followed by a one-hour cruise on the West Lake – Hangzhou’s most famous sight. Head south to the Liuhe Pagoda, which offers views of the Qiantang River and is also the site of giant tidal bores best viewed when they are at their height during the autumn equinox.

After that, it is on to the Longjing Village, home to the plantations that produce some of the best-known tea in the country. Visitors can pick their own tea or sit back and enjoy the tea ceremony demonstrations and teatasting sessions.

WHERE TO STAY
There are several options for international luxury hotels on the banks of the West Lake.
Shangri-La Hotel Hangzhou is set within lush gardens that have become one of the attractions along the northern banks.
The hotel offers 382 rooms and comprehensive meeting facilities that include an auditorium
for 580 people and 20 other meeting rooms.

The 390-room Hyatt Regency Hangzhou Local scenery, modern facilities Hangzhou offers several international brand hotels on the banks of the West Lake features 34 rooms with private gardens
and meeting facilities for up to 800 people.

Sofitel Westlake Hangzhou is a more intimate property, with 200 rooms and meeting facilities for a maximum of 150 people. The hotel is just next to Xihutiandi, a cluster of restaurants, bars and boutiques.

Further away from the West Lake, the newly opened Four Points by Sheraton Hangzhou Binjiang is located within the new high-tech development zone. The 350-room property overlooks Qiantang River and features eight meeting rooms, including a ballroom that can hold 600 people.

Sofitel Xanadu, a 20-minute drive from both the airport and railway station, is a resort-style hotel within the World Leisure Folk Garden, just next to a lake. The hotel has 301 rooms and ten function rooms, including a ballroom for up to 320 people.
