Li-Ning retains Burnett in China
China sports brand Li-Ning has retained Leo Burnett as its creative agency partner, following a three-way pitch which saw the agency battle Ogilvy & Mather and Bates for the US$29 million brief. <BR><BR> Ranked third behind Nike and adidas, Li-Ning has been investing heavily in product and marketing, and expanding its retail presence ahead of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. According to one source, the pitch required agencies to present a brand strategy for Li-Ning, as well as a new apparel brand by the label.
