LG Ad holds on to $30m Seoul City brief

SEOUL - LG Ad is believed to have retained its US$30 million Seoul City account after the metropolitan government called an open tender to increase awareness of the capital overseas.

Mayor Oh Se-hoon had called for a fresh marketing strategy for Seoul tourism, including the establishment of a unique brand-image and an integrated campaign to promote the city in 11 key markets, emphasising China, Japan and the US.

LG Ad recently lost its two year-hold on a $19.5 million account with the Korea Tourism Organisation, with the government body transferring the business to Cheil.
