Leo Burnett, OMD picked after CSL, New World merge

Leo Burnett and OMD have been appointed to handle creative and media duties respectively for CSL New World Mobility (NWM) Group, the result of a recent merger between Hong Kong CSL and New World PCS.

The two agencies, which handled creative and media for two of CSL's brands, 1010 and One2Free, will take over responsibilities for the third brand, New World Mobility, previously handled by BBDO and MindShare.

Newly-appointed chairman and CEO Leo Burnett Hong Kong, and chairman and chief creative officer, Greater China, Eddie Booth said: "There has been a lot of speculation as to whether NWM will be rolled into one of the existing brands of CSL, but it won't. We're putting in extra resources to service that brand with a separate team."

Booth declined to reveal whether NWM's current positioning as a mix between a young brand and a mass consumer product would change. He said work had already started on tactical ads, and branding work would roll out in the middle of the year.
