Leo Burnett Malaysia chief steps down

KUALA LUMPUR - Leo Burnett MD Hamish Banks is leaving the agency, with Arc Malaysia president and ECD Tan Kien Eng (pictured) taking over the role of managing director for both offices with immediate effect.

Leo Burnett regional president Michelle Kristula-Green said Tan's appointment mirrored a restructuring of the network to align Leo Burnett and Arc closer together, announced late last year.

"His appointment also reflects a move in Malaysia to a more localised management team," she added.

The announcement follows yesterday's news about the departure of former regional president of Arc Worldwide, Charles Cadell.
