Lee & DDB Seoul off to a roaring start with US$23m

<p>Lee & DDB Seoul, launched in mid-January this year, has won nine of </p><p>10 recent pitches, racking up US$23 million in new business. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>One of the biggest wins was Beoom.com - an educational portal site - </p><p>worth US$5 million. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>DDB picked up the account after beating Cheil and Diamond Bates in a </p><p>competitive pitch. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Another US$5 million account it won was Orion Frito Lay for the </p><p>Poca Chip, Sun Chip and Cheetos brands, and the agency also beat out </p><p>TBWA to win Gojin Motors, the local importer and distributor of </p><p>Volkswagen and Audi. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The agency brief from Gojin is to launch the VW New Beetle and the </p><p>relaunch of the Audi A6. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Other wins included Petitzel Jelly, Artimus (creators of children's </p><p>educational tools), Happy2Buy.com, Metaland, Locus (a communications </p><p>technology company) and Turbo Tech. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>- CIA Medianetwork Singapore has been appointed to develop an integrated </p><p>media communications strategy for Evian, currently the market leader in </p><p>the mineral water category in the Lion City. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>CIA won the account in a competitive pitch against incumbent Chuo </p><p>Senko. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>- Trikaya Grey has won accounts worth US$9.3 million, including </p><p>Novartis, Domino's Pizza, LG Software, as well as nationally-known milk </p><p>supplement brands Maltova, and Viva. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>- Ambience D'Arcy has picked up US$6.9 million worth of business </p><p>since the new year. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>D'Arcy will shoulder brand building responsibilities for Godrej-General </p><p>Electric, and look after corporate work for GE's Indian partner Godrej, </p><p>a multi-product company. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>- Saatchi & Saatchi India has entered the new millennium in better </p><p>shape. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Bailed out of financial difficulty by its parent company almost two </p><p>years ago, it has picked up accounts worth US$5.8 million over </p><p>the last year. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The accounts include Accent (Hyundai), Sony Entertainment TV, Dupont </p><p>Lycra, and P&G brands Ariel and Old Spice. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
