Lee DDB CEO departs for Aegis Media role

SEOUL - KH Han (pictured) has resigned from his role as chief executive of Lee DDB in Korea after a tenure of less than a year.

Han is reportedly leaving the Omnicom Group agency to take up a senior position within Aegis Media’s Korean operation. Les Edwards, Lee DDB’s vice-president and managing partner, confirmed that he was running the agency alongside chief operating officer and chief financial officer Kwang-soo ‘Kevin’ Koh.

Edwards said that they were currently searching for a replacement and explained that Han had tendered his resignation to pursue a “new opportunity”. Han is understood to have accepted a position of country head and chief executive at Aegis, although Aegis did not confirm the development.

Han has spent the bulk of his career at Lee DDB, having joined in 1991 to specialise in media and client service. He was promoted to chief executive last November after predecessor YC Lee took on a new role as president and ‘chief people officer’ within the company.
