Leader... Ads won't fix the fundamental issues

Thailand's proclivity for civic turmoil often appears to be peerless, making its tourism body's job one of the toughest in its sectors.

Now, less than four months after a US$29 million budget was approved to revive the ailing tourism sector, the TAT is again in a fix. Millions have been spent on a mega above-the-line and promotional campaign. But, clearly, more is needed. With such fundamental issues at play, however, how much will it take?
