Lau gets regional creative brief on switch to DDB HK

DDB Hong Kong has hired James Lau from Saatchi & Saatchi for a regional creative remit, continuing its series of recent creative hires.

Lau, Saatchi's former regional creative director on the Mead Johnson account, has been tapped to take on a similar role, working mainly on Johnson & Johnson, a major account for the agency. Lau has been tasked with taking J&J's skincare advertising to a higher level, drawing on his experience in the skincare sector, which includes handling the Olay brand at Saatchis. His area of responsibility covers China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Philippines, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore. Lau's appointment follows the recent hiring of ex-BBDO staffer Barry Mok and ex-Ogilvy & Mather creative Steven Lee (Media, April 23).
