Lamb departs Motorola after 25 years

HONG KONG - Motorola regional director of corporate and business/technology communications Mary Lamb (pictured) has opted to take voluntary redundancy at the struggling mobile giant.

The decision brings a 25-year association with the company to a close for Lamb, who will remain in Hong Kong.

The development accompanies a restructuring of Motorola’s communications team in Asia. Lamb’s corporate role is eliminated, while the Singapore-based Lynn Chan will assume oversight of business and technology communications in the region. Carolyn Wu will remain in charge of mobile device communications.

“In Asia, communications will be embedded in our core businesses,” said Lamb, who will depart Motorola effective from the end of March.

Lamb has spent 14 years of her Motorola career in Asia, and has held numerous positions within the company including procurement, marketing, operations and marketing communications.
