Klues takes helm at PGM
Publicis has tasked Jack Klues, formerly the CEO of Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG), to develop its media networks as chairman of Publicis Groupe Media (PGM). Klues was a founder of the Starcom media network, and helped orchestrate the merger of Starcom and MediaVest in 2000. Renetta McCann, chief executive of SMG/The Americas, will step into the role vacated by Klues. With a number of awards to her name, McCann was part of the management team that led the launch of Starcom as an independent media company in 1998. Publicis chiefs said the two moves would allow the agency to improve its offerings to clients of SMG and ZenithOptimedia.
