The three-day summit is expected to be attended by 800 delegates from the ASEAN region together with invited observers.
The delegates are the heads of state and the heads of government of the 11 ASEAN member countries together with their delegations from the respective ministries.
Peter Brokenshire, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre general manager, said "I am doubly
delighted that our Centre has been selected as the venue for this hugely prestigious
regional event with its attendant security issues for such high-profile delegates."
