King to head Tribal DDB Asia-Pacific

HONG KONG - Tribal DDB has named Amanda King president and managing partner of Tribal DDB Asia-Pacific following the recent departure of incumbent Adam Good, who left to take on a new role as executive director of digital innovation at Clemenger Group New Zealand (Media, 29 June).

King, formerly vice-president of business development, DDB Worldwide Asia-Pacific, will be based in Hong Kong. After beginning her career as a data planner at London-based Evans Hunt Scott, she moved to Australia to join Ogilvy & Mather.

She left after six months to launch her own network, Octopus, which was later acquired by WPP.

After a stint at Publicis, King joined DDB in 2000 where she headed up the network’s non-advertising agencies, including Rapp Collins, Tribal, Mango (PR) and Remedy, before she was named group MD in 2004.
