KFC holds outdoor advertising review

KFC China is reviewing its China outdoor business, inviting three agencies to pitch for the account.

The incumbent agency, Ling Han, a Chinese firm, has held parts of the account for two years, but KFC has asked it to repitch along with GroupM's Portland and Heartland Media, another local company.

While Ling Han dealt with the brokering aspect of KFC's outdoor advertising, the new brief is expected to be more extensive - covering negotiating, planning and buying throughout China.

MindShare lost the account to Ling Han two years ago after a personnel shift carried the business across.

MindShare Shanghai holds the remainder of KFC's media planning and buying in China, while Ogilvy & Mather Shanghai is the fastfood brand's creative agency of record.
