KFC appoints BBDO in Vietnam

HO CHI MINH CITY - KFC, the country's largest fast food chain, has appointed BBDO as its creative agency in Vietnam following a three-way tussle between Lowe and incumbent Ogilvy.

The Omnicom agency will begin work for the Yum! Brands food chain and is charged with all advertising and promotional duties as KFC continues to expand in the local market from its current size of 60 restaurants.

Le Hoai Nam, KFC Vietnam marketing manager, commented, “We were impressed with the youthful energy and local insights of the BBDO team. And their experience in working in channels beyond just the 30-second commercial.”

“We are very excited to start working with KFC in such a fun and fast-paced category.” said BBDO Vietnam GM, Lam Hong Lan.
