Kapal Api hands Dentsu Strat creative duties

JAKARTA - Dentsu Strat, a subsidiary of Dentsu Indonesia, has won the creative account of Indonesia's largest-selling coffee brand, Kapal Api, after a three-way pitch that involved TBWA and local shop, Ad City.

A family-owned coffee brand, Kapal Api started off as an unbranded coffee in Indonesia 1927. Owned by Santos Jaya Abadi, the brand is a market leader in Indonesia and also has a presence in other Southeast Asian countries. 

The parent company produces other popular coffee brands such as ABC, Good Day, Ya & Kapten and Excelso in the Indonesian market.
