Kadence broadens regional footprint

SINGAPORE - UK-based market research firm Kadence has opened offices in Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur with plans to launch in China before the end of the year.

The firm, which launched in Asia in 2004 with an office in Singapore, has opened for business in Malaysia and will be run by Asia-Pacific MD Piers Lee.

"We had clients in Malaysia which were being serviced from Singapore, but we wanted to service them locally," said Lee. "The Malaysia launch is a natural extension of our Singapore office."

In Indonesia, Vivek Thomas will join the company to run the Jakarta office.  Lee said that the company intends to open a Hong Kong office before the end of 2007 from which Kadence's north Asia operation will initially launch.

Kadence is a business-to-business research company and also has offices in London, Boston and Delhi.
