A total of 139 awards were presented to 24 winners; the top three winning agencies were Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett and Saatchi & Saatchi.
JWT's anti-smoking campaign, commissioned by the Health Promotion Board, was aimed at teenagers, appealing to their senses by zeroing in on the effects of smoking on sexual performance and looks.
Said JWT executive creative director Southeast Asia Norman Tan: "In Singapore, the work done for previous anti-smoking campaigns was very literal. 'Vicious cycle' hooked on a very powerful insight and had an unusual execution. And for a Government body to accept this work, the client was indeed brave and creative."
